Campus Book Exchange Program
From RCampus Wiki
Schools and student organizations can adopt a custom book exchange program specifically for your own students use. Once adopted, your book exchange program will become a part of the greater Book Exchange Network. Your students can continue to find or sell books throughout the larger network or within your school.

[+] Features
All following features of TBXN will be available to any Campus Book Exchange Programs:
- Privacy protection: student emails are never revealed. Contacts are done through a secure internal message center.
- Ability to post books for sale and books wanted ads
- Create and print custom fliers
- Management of book inventory by individual students
- List books on student's personal websites
- Bookmarking favorite books with comments
- Compare prices of online vendors
- Search books by ISBN, title, author and keywords
- 10 and 13 digit ISBNs
- Automatic population of book information from Library of Congress and online bookstores
[+] Free Option
The free option will designate an area under TBXN.com for your school (e.g. yourschool.TBXN.com). Additional features include:
- A unique domain name (e.g. yourschool.TBXN.com)
- Prominent display of school logo on top left corner of the website with links to the official school website or other areas.
- A directory of books posted by your students.
- Similar to TBXN.com's home page, the home page of your custom book exchange will include a random list of books posted by your students.
- When your students post books for sale or books wanted ads, the school information will be automatically pre-populated.
- Search ads by class title.
[+] Licensing Option
In addition to all features included in the free option, this option allows your school to run the book exchange program in-house on school servers (e.g. books.yourschool.edu). It gives school more control to customize and manage the program. All IT support will be performed by the school IT department. Your school will have to set aside funds for a server and related software licenses.
[+] Hosting/Outsourcing Option
This option is ideal for schools that do not have the IT infrastructure or don't want to deal with server maintenance. We will setup a server in our data center and take care of all IT maintenance. This option includes a server dedicated to your school, all software licenses, and all server maintenance and upgrades. This option also includes all free option features.
[+] Book Club
As part of Campus Book Exchange Program, schools and student organizations can create a free online book club (e.g. clubs.tbxn.com/yourschool). This website can be used by students for further communication and collaboration.
