Domain names must be purchased from an accredited domain name registrar.
[+] How do I pick a good domain name?
In general, a good domain name is short (optimally 5-7 characters), easy to type and remember, and ends with .com. In the academic arena, however, proper domain names end with .edu or .org.
.edu domain names are only granted to accreditted schools. Please visit www.educause.edu for more information.
.com, .net, .org, and other domain names can be purchased freely. If you decided to purchase a .org or .net domain, it is highly recommended to also purchase the .com to prevent confusion by visitors.
