Definition

Competencies or student competencies refer to a set of skills, knowledge, behaviors, and abilities that students are expected to demonstrate as a result of their education. Competencies are often specific and measurable, focusing on what students can do with what they have learned. They are designed to prepare students for real-world applications and are used to ensure that students are ready for further education, employment, and other life activities.
