This page describes the usage of the online editor icons on the formatting toolbar.

The formatting toolbar is only avaliable to Internet Explorer 6 and above for Windows, FireFox 1.0 and above for Windows, Mac and Linux, and Netscape 7.1 and above for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Icon Description Usage
button.source.gif HTML View content in HTML format Check to view and edit content in HTML format

NOTE: Check this option to copy/paste HTML code directly into editor.

button.maxmin.gif Maximize / Minimize Maximize or minimize the online editor area.
button.cut.gif Cut Removes the selection from the active document and places it on the Clipboard.
button.copy.gif Copy Copies the selection to the Clipboard.
button.paste.gif Paste Inserts the contents of the Clipboard at the insertion point, and replaces any selection. This command must follow a Cut or Copy command.
button.pastetext.gif Paste as Plain Text Paste content from clipboard without its formatting.
button.pasteword.gif Paste from Word Paste content that was copied from Microsoft Word
button.undo.gif Undo Reverses the last command or deletes the last entry you typed.
button.redo.gif Redo Reverses the action of the Undo command.
button.find.gif Find Find text in the content.

Note: Position the cursor at the beginning of content to search the entire content.

button.replace.gif Replace Replace text in the content.

Note: Position the cursor at the beginning of content to search and replace the entire content.

button.selectall.gif Select All Select the entire content.
button.removeformat.gif Remove Format Remove all formatting from selected content.
button.bold.gif Bold Convert the selected text to bold. E.g. Bold

NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting

button.italic.gif Italic Italicize the selected text. E.g. Italic

NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting

button.underline.gif Underline Underline the selected text.

NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting

button.strikethrough.gif Strike Through Strike through the selected text.

NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting

button.subscript.gif Subscript Convert the selected text into subscript.

button.superscript.gif Superscript Convert the selected text into superscript.
