Troubleshooting steps for failed file uploads:
- Virus and malware infection: First and foremost, scan your file for viruses. Our servers block and delete infected files without a notice.
- Firewall issues: In some cases, the firewall on your PC or the firewall at your organization may block the file from being uploaded. Try a different network (if you're at school, try uploading from home).
- Disable Security Tools Temporarily: temporarily disable any antivirus, VPN, or proxy services to see if it affects the upload process. Alternatively, you can add an exception for our website.
- Clear Browser Cache: clear your browser cache and cookies or try the upload in an incognito/private mode.
- File size issues: Very large files (depending on your membership status) and files with zero bytes will fail to upload.
- File types: Files that can be harmful to others and to the servers will be rejected. That includes files with .exe, .com, extension and also scripting files that can run on the server are blocked.
- Drag & drop upload: If you have tried the drag & drop feature and the file did not upload, please try the following:
- Click on the folder icon on top/right of the screen to enter your document center
- From the sub-menu or on the screen, select "new document"
- On the next screen, select "Upload file"
- Enter a title then click on the "browse" (or similar) button to select a file.
- Select the file to be uploaded.
- Press [save]
- If that fails, contact our support.
