Two ways to build a rubric - from scratch or recycle

There are two ways to build a rubric: from scratch or from an existing rubric.

To build a rubric, choose an option from Build rubric.

Steps for building a rubric

Decide if you want to build one from scratch or revising an existing rubric.

Build from scratch

  1. Select build from rubrics menu. (Take me there.)
  2. Click on start button next to the Option A.
  3. This will take you to rubric editor.

Revise one of your existing rubrics

Use these rubric icons to edit, copy, bookmark, grade and apply a rubric
  1. Select build from rubrics menu. (Take me there.)
  2. Click on start button next to the Option B.
  3. Click on edit this rubric (rubricstudio.gif) icon next to the rubric you want to use.
  4. You can now revise the existing rubric using rubric editor.

Use an existing rubric as a template

  1. Select build from rubrics menu. (Take me there.)
  2. Click on start button next to the Option C.
  3. Click on the title of the rubric you want to copy.
  4. Click on the duplicate (copy.gif) icon on top of the rubric and press [yes, copy the rubric].
  5. You can now customize the copied rubric using the rubric editor.
