FAQ: Cancellations and Refunds

How do I cancel my payment plan?

  1. Log in to your RCampus account and click My Account Settings at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click the Cancel subscription renewal button.

How is my refund calculated when I cancel monthly subscription(s)?

You will be refunded for the days you have not used.

Note: There is a 15 day minimum charge for complete cancellation.

Example 1: You subscribed to iRubric Plus on May 1st, 2011 for $4.95/month. You cancel your subscription on May 17th, 2011, you will be refunded the # days you have not used (May 18th - June 1st). You were paying ___ amount daily, so you will be refunded the daily amount x #.

Example 2: You subscribed to iRubric Plus on May 1st, 2011 for $4.95. You cancel your subscription on May 3rd, 2011. Due to the 15 day minimum charge, you will only be refunded for 15 days (daily amount x 15).

How is my refund calculated when I cancel annual subscription(s)?

You will be refunded for the months you have not used. However, by canceling the annual subscription you lose the discounted annual price, so you will be charged the monthly fee for the months you have already used.

Note: There is no refund for annual ePortfolio subscriptions.

Example: You subscribed to iRubric Outcomes and Standards on April 1st, 2011 for $1350.00/year ($112.50/month). You cancel your annual subscription on June 30th, 2011. You will be refunded for the remaining 9 months you have not used, but you will be charged the monthly rate ($150/month) for the 3 months you have already used.

I canceled one of my monthly subscriptions but kept another one, am I being charged again for the subscription I kept?

No. When you make changes to your monthly plan, the current plan is canceled and a new plan begins. After you pay for the new plan, you will be refunded for the days you did not use while subscribed to the previous plan.

Example: Your current plan includes iRubric Plus and Gradebook Plus, which you subscribed to on April 1st, 2011. You cancel iRubric Plus on April 16th, but want to keep Gradebook Plus. Your current plan is canceled (both subscriptions), and you will be asked to pay $4.95/month for Gradebook Plus. After the payment has gone through, you will be refunded for the 14 days you did not use iRubric Plus and Gradebook Plus (daily amount for both plans x 14).

I canceled one (or more) monthly subscriptions and added one (or more) monthly subscriptions, how is my payment/refund calculated?

When you make changes to your monthly plan, the current plan is canceled and a new plan begins. When you cancel some monthly subscription(s) and add one or more new subscriptions, you will be refunded for the un-used days (aka remaining days) of the subscription(s) you canceled after you have paid for the new subscription plan.

Example: Your current plan includes iRubric Plus and Gradebook Plus, which you subscribed to on April 1st, 2011. You cancel iRubric Plus on April 16th, but want to keep Gradebook Plus and then add Tests & Quizzes. Your previous plan (which included iRubric Plus and Gradebook Plus) is canceled. You will be asked to pay for your new plan, which includes Gradebook Plus and Tests & Quizzes. After you have paid for your new plan, you will be refunded for the un-used days (aka the remaining days) of your old plan (daily amount for iRubric Plus & Gradebook Plus x # of un-used days).

I canceled all of my monthly subscriptions, why is my refund amount so low?

RCampus has a 15 day minimum charge for monthly subscriptions. If you canceled your entire subscription plan prior to having it for 15 days, you will still be charged for 15 days of use (daily amount x 15).
