A course refers to a specific subject of study, such as Basic Algebra, from which classes are offered. To avoid confusion, we refer to the former as course, and to the latter as class, class section, or course offering.

Example

Course: Math 101 - Basic Algebra
Class: Math 101, Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 to 10:00 AM, Room A100

FAQ

Can I automatically list my courses on my website/ePortfolio?

Faculty websites include a side menu option titled Courses taught. Make sure that menu option is used (by moving it to the box on the right). See menu builder for more information.

How do I delete or inactivate a course?

Because many objects (e.g. classes and coursework) are dependant on courses, deletion of a course would create user confusion and is not available at this point.

I have created a course by mistake, what can I do?

Open the course properties page and change its properties (e.g. Title) to a real course.
