There are two ways for faculty and teams to send and read team messages.

  • Using the class discussion tool: All class websites come with a class discussions tool, which allows for team messaging.
  • Using the message center: All accounts come with its own message board. Recipients are categorized by types, such as: classes, teams, individuals, etc.

Note: A team cannot send or view messages for other teams. Faculty can send or view messages for all teams.


Sending a message

Method 1: Class websites

  1. From top menu select classroom then classes submenu.
  2. Click on the class title to go to the class website home page.
  3. Click on the + sign next to the class discussions side menu to expand it.
  4. Click on a team name.
  5. Press the write message button.
  6. Enter message subject, the message content and press [post].


Method 2: Message center

  1. Click on the message icon (mail.gif) at the top of the page.
  2. Click on the write submenu.
    • Faculty will see a Select teams link next to the class titles. Click the link and select one or more teams.
    • Students will see a list of teams to select under recipients. Select teams by checking the box next to the team name.
  3. Enter message subject, the message content and press [post].


Reading team messages

  4. Click on a team name to see a list of messages for that team.

  2. Click on the inbox submenu.
  3. From the side menu, select the team name under its class title. A list of team messages will display.
