In some cases, senders are allowed to send anonymous messages to a group. For example, students can send anonymous messages to the class.

The purpose of anonymous messages

Anonymous messaging was added to our system to promote communication among individuals who feel reluctant to identify themselves for various reasons. It has been a great resource in classes where student feel intimidated to ask questions or to provide comments

Privacy

We do not reveal the identity of anonymous senders, unless the message is reported as abuse.

Abuse

Messages that are send anonymously must be appropriate for the recipients and inline with our Terms of Use. Any reported abuse can cause the disclosure of the sender's identity as well as removal of anonymous message capability for the offending sender.
