This page describes the usage of coursework for faculty.


Working with Coursework

To Create a Coursework

  1. From classroom menu select coursework
  2. Select new coursework
  3. Enter information in the coursework properties page and press save


To Edit a Coursework

You can change the coursework title or content, online submission, rubric or grading settings, or multiple class assignment anytime.

  1. From classroom menu select coursework
  2. Click on the coursework title to be edited. This will take you to the coursework properties page.
  3. Make changes and press save


To Inactivate a Coursework

  1. From classroom menu select coursework
  2. Click on the coursework title to be inactivated. This will take you to the coursework properties page.
  3. Check the inactivate box and press save


To Attach Documents

  1. While editing a coursework, click on select attachments. A popup screen displaying your document center will open.
  2. Check documents to be attached to coursework.
  3. Close the popup screen.

Note: To detach a document, follow the steps above and uncheck the documents to be detached.


To Attach a Rubric for Assessment

  1. While editing a coursework, select yes in response to Will this coursework use a rubric under Rubric Settings. A popup screen displaying your rubrics will open.
  2. Select the rubric to be used for assessment of this coursework.
  3. Close the popup screen.

Note: You must be subscribed to Gradebook Plus Unlimited to access this feature.


Grading a coursework

  1. Go to a class gradebook
  2. Select the coursework
  3. Enter grades. If a rubric is used, see Grade student coursework with rubrics


Taking class attendance using a coursework

Coursework builder can be used to take class attendance. To learn how, go to Attendance.


Coursework List

Coursework is listed by due date, with the soonest due date listed first. Any coursework with no due date will display at the top of the list. Coursework can be sorted by course, by class, and by date.
