Online Submission Settings

This section is for setting the student submission requirements.

  • You can allow students to submit their assignments online. Both faculty and students will see the date and time of the submission.
  • You can allow students to resubmit their assignments multiple times. With this option, faculty receives only the most recent submission.
  • You can prohibit students to submit online after the cut off time. Students will not be able to submit their assignments after the cut off time.

Rubric Settings

You can attach a rubric to the coursework for assessment. If you attach a rubric, students can self-evaluate their assignment quality prior to submission. You can also use the same rubric to grade students work.

Grade Settings

You can decide if the coursework will be graded or not. A grade item is a coursework that will be graded (e.g. projects, exams, homework). A non-grade item is a coursework that is solely used for informational/content purposes (e.g. class notes, handouts, syllabi), or assignments that are not graded (e.g. readings, sample quizzes).

Coursework that are graded will be indicated by a (gradeitem.gif) icon. Coursework that are not graded will be indicated by a (content.gif) icon.

Assign to the following classes

This section lists class sections associated with the course. You can assign the same coursework to multiple classes, each with different coursework titles, deadlines and scores.

  • You can customize the coursework title for different class sections. For example, you can title the same coursework "Chapter 1 - due Mon" for the Monday's class and "Chapter 1 - due Wed" for the Wednesday's class.
  • You can assign the different points to the same coursework for different class sections.
  • You can set the different deadlines to the same coursework for different class sections.
  • You can preset when students can view and access the coursework title and its content for different class sections. Title access is the date when the coursework title is displayed to students. Content access is the date when students can access the coursework content.
