Course management is the practice of using computer software - called a course management system (CMS) - to organize and manage courses, course materials, students, grades, quizzes, and communications. Course management systems are usually web-based.

A course management system can be used as an add-on for a regular course allowing teachers to manage various aspects of teaching. It can also be used in distance learning or hybrid courses as the primary mean of communication among teachers and students.

RCampus Course Management System

RCampus Course Management System is a web-based software system designed to facilitate the management of courses for faculty and students, especially by helping teachers and learners with course administration. The system can track the students' progress, which can be monitored by both teachers and students.

RCampus Course Management System is a part of our larger Open Education Management System which is also available to schools (see our licensing and hosting / outsourcing options). Its tools are available instantly to teachers and students through Reazon Campus Network websites.

Testimonials

quote_left.gif rCampus is an amazing tool for educators. I have been working on my graduate action research project for the last five months. I chose to try rCampus to set up a gradebook for my subjects. I created a rubric online using the rubric tool. I also utilized the coursework link to the student roster. I logged in the scores for my students’ pre-assessment and post-assessments using the linked rubric for the assignment. I loved the fact that I could just click on the rubric and it would tally the scores for me without having to do calculations myself. My favorite feature though of the gradebook was the gradebook statistics feature. This feature gave me the data that I needed to share for my statistical analysis of the results for my research. It also allowed for importing the data to an Excel spreadsheet using comma set values if I needed to use this feature. The rubric statistics proved to be extremely valuable for my research project as well. I have recommended this tool to every educator that will give me long enough to tell them about the benefits of this web 2.0 tool. As a graduate student in the Masters of Education program with technology as my emphasis, I have to say that I am impressed with this tech tool! quote_right.gif - Deborah Breda, December 2008 graduate of Salisbury University, Masters of Education, Technology Track
